I began quilting when I was in high school when my grandmother gave me a shoe box that had pieces from a quilt started by her aunt. At the time, I did apparel sewing so I took on the challenge of quilting. After college, I ventured back to quilting, enjoying the designing and piecing to make a piece of art. I was introduced to applique by a friend and knew that was the direction I wanted to take in quilting. As a fan of needle turn applique, I tried the fusible using Mistyfuse. I was very impressed with the results – its ease of applying and it’s softness in the quilt. I am looking forward to helping students to explore and increase their love in applique and designing.
