Sue Pelland Designs is pleased to announce that 2019 Certified Instructor Training will be held at The Happy Cottage retreat center in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina from Sunday, March 31 to Friday, April 5, 2019. The Happy Cottage is a Quilt Retreat facility with 5 bedrooms and workspace for up to 6 participants. We need confident, educated instructors who empower students to apply our techniques and unleash their creativity.

Today is the day! Our "My Magical Garden" Quilt-Along is now accepting registrations for our nine-month Block of the Month program. Starting in March, registered members will have a Quilt-Along with me so I can show you my methods for making this beautiful fusible appliqué quilt.

Over the years I have been slowly learning how to use the Electric Quilt software This week we installed an upgrade to our EQ software, EQ8. Kari Schell is my EQ expert. I met Kari at CABS, the Creative Arts Business Summit that I went to last year. The best thing about CABS was meeting such wonderfully knowledgeable people. In the last year, my knowledge of drawing appliqué blocks has grown by leaps and bounds with Kari's guidance.
It is a bright, clear, beautiful morning here in New England. I am waiting for the temp to warm up so I can go for a bike ride with my hubby Jeffrey today. This is something we try to do once a week, granted I am not traveling, there is no snow on the ground and the temperature is above 40 degrees. If you are not from around here, you may think that 40 degrees is a little cold to get out on your bike!
