Where do you find your quilting community? Part Two
In the second blog post about Community, I want to talk a little about Online Communities.
Do you belong to a Quilt Guild? Your quilting community part 1
Quilting, creating, even running a quilt related business can be very isolating. We set aside "me time" to work on our creations,, but that time is often spent alone in our sewing rooms, with only our sewing machines for company. With this tendency to hibernate in our sewing rooms, many of us crave a quilting community where we can join with other quilters who like to do the things we like to do! We want to hang out with people who enjoy fabrics, sewing, and learning about our quilt hobby. Where do you find your quilting community?

"Text It" Blog Hop
My friend Sherri Noel has just published a new book, "Text It". Sherri and I have been in the same quilt guild for years and have so much in common as quilt designers. When she asked me to make a quilt from her new book and blog about it, I knew I was going to make the "1 Sheep" quilt! After reading all about "Counting Sheep", tell me the one thing that helps you relax before bed in a comment below to enter the give-away! Tag a friend in the comment for an extra chance to win!

Happy New Year! The "My Magical Garden Quilt-Along" page is live!
Today is the day! Our "My Magical Garden" Quilt-Along is now accepting registrations for our nine-month Block of the Month program. Starting in March, registered members will have a Quilt-Along with me so I can show you my methods for making this beautiful fusible appliqué quilt.
I have a secret....Blog post 17 of the December challenge
But I'm terrible at keeping secrets from you! The BOM quilt is finished! It is 11pm and I just stitched on the outer half square triangle border. But I couldn't show you a photo of the quilt, even if I wanted to!
I sew in my basement. The ceilings are very low and the sewing room is very small...and the quilt...well, it's a big one! It is pinned to my design wall, trailing on the floor and spilling over around the corner on a second wall.
